Araştırmada Ağın ilçesinde 6 farklı çalışma merkezi belirlenerek (Altınayva, Saraycık, Merkez, Öğrendik, Akpınar, Samançay) 2 yaş ve üzeri toplam 181 dişi koyun rastgele seçilmiş ve bu koyunlarda T. gondii antikorları ELISA testi ile araştırılmıştır. Toplam 181 dişi koyunun 45 (%24.8)'inde ELISA testi ile T. gondii antikorları yönünden seropozitiflik saptanmıştır. Serolojik incelemede, çalışma merkezleri arasında en fazla seropozitiflik %96.66 ile Akpınar'da tespit edilmiştir. Samançay'da incelenen koyunların hiçbirinde seropozitiflik saptanmamıştır. Ayrıca mevsimler açısından, ELISA testi ile yaz aylarında incelenen 91 koyunun 12'si (%13.1) ve sonbahar aylarında incelenen 90 koyunun 33'ü (%36.6) seropozitif bulunmuştur. Çalışma merkezleri ve mevsimlere göre koyunlarda saptanan T. gondii seropozitifliğinin istatistiksel yönden önemli olduğu belirlenmiştir (p<0.05). Sonuç olarak, Elazığ'ın Ağın yöresinde koyunlarında T. gondii serolojik olarak ilk kez bu çalışma ile saptanmıştır. A total of 181 female sheep aged 2 years and older were randomly selected from 6 different study centers in Ağın province (Altınayva, Saraycık, Merkez, Öğrendik, Akpınar, Samançay) and T. gondii antibodies in the sheep were examined by using ELISA. The 45 (24.8%) of 181 sheep were found to be seropositive for T. gondii antibodies by ELISA. In the serological examination, the highest seropositivity among the study centers was found in Akpınar as 96.66%. However, none of the examined sheep were seropositive for antibodies to T. gondii in Samançay. In addition, in terms of seasons, 12 (13.1%) of 91 sheep in summer and 33 (36.6%) of 90 sheep in autumn were found to be seropositive using ELISA. Toxoplasma gondii seropositivity in sheep according to the study centers and seasons was found to be statistically significant (p<0.05).
