Faaliyetlerini devamlı olarak sürdürme çabasında olan havayolu işletmeleri ciddi bir havayolu pazar rekabeti içerisine girmişlerdir. Yoğun rekabetin görüldüğü havayolu pazarlarında öne çıkan etkiler regülasyon ve deregülasyon etkileridir. Deregülasyon süreci, doğal olarak havayolu pazarlarını tekelleşmelerden sıyırmıştır. Böylelikle bu süreç sektörde yeni aktörler doğurmuştur. Ortaya çıkan bu aktörler yalnız havayolu işletmelerinin rekabetine değil, gelişmiş ekonomilerin de rekabetine işaret etmektedir. Bu rekabetten hareketle havayolu işletmelerinin geleceğine dair bir araştırma, gelişmiş ülkelerin ekonomik gelişimlerinin yakından incelenmesini gerekli kılmaktadır. Bu kapsamda çalışmanın çerçevesini oluşturan gelişmiş ekonomilerin hangilerinin olduğu, nasıl seçildiği ve nasıl inceleneceği konusu önem taşımaktadır. Bu ekonomiler çerçevesinde faaliyet gösteren havayolu işletmelerinin geleceklerine dair öngörüler araştırmanın özünü oluşturmuştur. Çalışma, kendi içerisinde kronolojik bir sırayla ve birbirini destekler biçimde sürmektedir. Sivil havacılık sektörünün gelişimi boyunca öne çıkan reformlar doğal olarak yeni rekabetleri, stratejileri ve iş modellerini doğurmuştur. Neticede bu dinamikler havayolu işletmelerine yeni belirleyicilerin varlığını işaret etmiştir. Çalışmada, bu belirleyicilerin önce iktisadi literatürde karşılığı aranmıştır. Söz konusu belirleyiciler son bölümde ortaya koyulan; gelişmiş ülke ekonomilerine ait havayolu işletmeleri çerçevesindeki öngörülere zemin hazırlamıştır. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı, dünyanın en gelişmiş ekonomilerinin ve havayolu işletmelerinin güncel olarak dünya ticaretinde bulundukları konumun ve geleceklerinin irdelenmesidir. Bu amaçlar doğrultusunda elde edilmiş derinlemesine veriler, araştırma içerisinde yorumlanmıştır. Çalışmanın evrenini gelişmiş ve büyük ekonomilerin havayolu işletmeleri oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışma; havayolu sektörünün geleceğinin bu ekonomik belirleyicilerle, ülkemizde yüksek lisans düzeyinde ilk kez incelenmesi bakımından bilimsel literatüre alanında önemli bir katkı sağlayacaktır.Today, the activities of airline companies and the outputs of these activities become reflective for the economies of the countries and even their international commercial relations. Therefore, airline companies, which are striving to maintain their activities constantly, have also entered a serious airline market competition. In airline markets where there is intense competition, the most prominent effects frequently seen are the effects of regulation and deregulation. The deregulation process naturally detaches the monopolization of the airline markets. Thus, it creates new actors in the sector. These emerging indicate not only to the competition of airline companies, but also to the competition of developed economies. The study about the future of airline companies considering this competition requires a close examination for the economic developments of developed countries. In this context, the questions that constitute the framework of this study such as which are developed economies, how they are selected and how they will be examined are important. The foresights concerning the future of airline companies operating within these economies makes up the essence of the research. The study continues in chronological order and supports each other. Reforms that emerged in the development process of the civil aviation sector have naturally led to new competitions, strategies and business models. As a result, these dynamics pointed to the existence of new economic indicators for airline companies. In the study, the equivalents of these indicators were first reviewed in the economics literature. These indicators establish a ground for the predictions of developed country economies within the frame of airline companies in the last chapter. The main purpose of this study is to examine the current state and future projection of the world's most developed economies and their airline companies in world trade. In-depth data interpreted within the research got for these purposes. The airline companies of developed and big economies make up the universe of the study.
