Bu çalışmanın amacı, dünyada gelişmekte olan piyasalar içinde önemli bir yere sahip olan İstanbul Menkul Kıymetler Borsası'nda oluşturulan İMKB 100 hisse senedi endeksini etkileyen faktörleri tespit etmektir. Bu çalışmada özellikle endeks değeri ile makro ekonomik göstergeler arasındaki ilişki araştırılmıştır. 2005:01-2007:12 dönemi için aylık verilerle yapılan araştırmada 14 temel makro ekonomik gösterge değişken olarak kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda döviz kurunun İMKB 100 endeksini etkileyen en önemli faktör olduğu tespit edilmiştir.Researches shows stock indexes could been affected macro economic variables, returns of alternative investment instruments, political and social events, developments in other countries, the risk attitude of foreign investors, announcements on firms and manipulation. The aim of this study is the determination of factors affecting ISE 100 index composed in Istanbul Stock Exchange which has an important role in the emerging markets in the world. In this study is researched relationship between specially index value and macro economic indicators. It is used 14 macro economic indicators as variables in the research which has done monthly data for the period 2005:01-2007:12.
