This new circuit is consisting of cross-gaps and base-to-base triangles etched in the ground plane of microstrip line. The PBG structures were designed and fabricated with different dimensions. It has been shown that the stopband characteristics may be controlled by tuning the geometrical dimensions. Also, multiple-frequency-tuned PBG structure has been derived by increasing the geometrical dimension. © 2001 IEEE.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessMicrostrip linesGeometrical dimensionsGround planesPBG structurePhotonic band-gap structuresStopband characteristicSpontaneous emissionA novel photonic bandgap (PBG) structureConference Object10.1109/EUMA.2001.3389952-s2.0-84897524356N/A
