This role has an unneglectable influence on dynamics of the political life, particularly in terms of propaganda and communication with the public masses. Newspapers as a part of media is of special function for the leaders to get through the public. It could be seen that the press played crucial role in the political structure of the Ottoman State. For its particulars, the periodicals made serious contribution to the decrease in the pressure on the media in the Second Constitutional Era, simply II. Mesrutiyet. Thus, this study deals with the political advertisements published on some newspapers from the Second Constitutional Era till the end of the state. Methodologically the samples were selected according to their stance to the government and their dependence on the pro-government figures in order to reflect wide aspects of the politics and reach more reliable results. In this respect, the selected newspapers and their stance are as follows: Tanin (belongs to the Union and Progress Party, pro-government), Alemdar (belongs to Freedom and Accord Party, the opposition), Tanzimat (extreme left), Ikdam (moderate opposition), Yeni Gazete (independent in an opposition line) and Sabah (independent in a pro-government line).
