These ligands were reacted with nickel(II), copper( II), cobalt( II), zinc( II), cadmium( II) and mercury( II) ions to form complexes containing tetradentate Schiff bases. Each metal ion is in a four-coordinate environment of two imine nitrogen atoms and two oxime oxygen atoms. The new compounds have been characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility, mass, IR, H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessSchiff base complexesSchiff base ligandstransition metal complexesSynthesis and characterization of tetradentate N2O2 Schiff base ligands and their transition metal complexesArticle35319720110.1081/SIM-2000372492-s2.0-17844395931N/AWOS:000228684600003Q4
