Kaynak problemi Niğde gibi tali şehirler söz konusu olduğu zaman daha belirgin olarak fark edilmektedir. Ancak bu olumsuzluk cami ve mescid gibi mimari eserlerden hareketle kısmen telafi edilebilmektedir. Rahmaniye Mescidi, Alaeddin Camii ve Sungurbey Camii esas alındığı zaman Niğde'nin Selçuklular devrindeki tahmini nüfusunun 4000-4500 civarında olduğu anlaşılmaktadır.There are not any sufficient information about the population of the Seljuk cities in Seljuk sources. It is easily noticable that in such towns as Nigde which was not a main town. It is difficult to reach informations from the sources when such towns are taken into consideration. However, this negative state may be overcome by reviewing and analyzing the mosques, mescids, baths and so on. These buildings may give the researchers some rough idea about the population of these towns. In Nigde example, the mescid of Rahmaniye, Alaaddin mosque and Sungurbey mosque may indicate that the town of Nigde during the Seljuks State approximately had a population of 4000 to 4500.trinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessTarihArticle23361637764
