The two types of coupling between the degenerate modes are described by changing the perturbation's size for realization of either a Chebyshev or an elliptic function filter. A novel type of dual-mode microstrip bandpass filter using degenerate modes of this type of dual-mode resonators is developed. It is shown that the perturbation's size determines the filter characteristic, whether it is Chebyshev characteristic or elliptic characteristic.eninfo:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccessChebyshev responsedual-mode filterelliptic responseperturbation's sizeRealization of a dual-mode bandpass filter exhibiting either a chebyshev or an elliptic characteristic by changing perturbation's sizeArticle14311812010.1109/LMCW.2004.8248112-s2.0-19244379911Q1WOS:000220707200011Q2
