Bu çalışmada, analiz için 2 türe ait toplam 43 örnek kullanılmıştır. Sekans dizilerinin Maksimum likelihood, Neighbour joining ve Network filogenetik analizleri yapılmıştır. Mitokondriyal veriler Türkiye'de Dryomys nitedula türü içinde pek çok alttür olduğunu desteklemiştir. Mitokondriyal veriler, Trakya populasyonu Anadolu populasyonu arasında gen akışının olmadığını ve her iki grubun yüksek düzeyde farklılaştığını destekleyen Allozim analizi verileriyle uygun bulunmuştur. Literatür ve bu tez çalışmasından elde edilen sonuçlar birlikte değerlendirildiğinde Trakya'da Dryomys nitedula wingei ve Anadolu'da Dryomys nitedula phrygius alttürlerinin bulunduğu belirlenmiştir. Doğu Anadolu ve Güneydoğu Anadolu'da ise muhtemel alttür ve/veya alttürlerin olabileceğini düşünülmektedir.In this study, the molecular phylogeny of Dryomys nitedula and Dryomys laniger species of the genus Dryomys was studied using the 12S rRNA gene region of mitochondrial DNA. In this study, a total of 43 samples were analyzed for two species. We conduct phylogenetic analyses of sequence data using neighbor joining, maximum likelihood, and network analysis. Mitochondrial data were found to be consistent with the Allozim analysis, which supports the absence of gene flow between the Thrace population and the Anatolian population and the high degree of differentiation of both groups. When the literature and the results obtained from this thesis study are evaluated together, the current results show two well-supported subspecies (D. n. wingei from Thrace and D. n. phrygius from Western Anatolia) within the species D. nitedula.
