Türkiye'denTrigonella cinsinin 5 seksiyondan 6 türünün kromozom sayısı ve ölçümleri yapıldı.Tüm türler 2n=14, 2n=16 ve 2n=18 ile diploiddir. Kromozom uzunlukları Trigonellaastroites'de 1,29-1,74 μm, Trigonella fischeriana'da 1,06-1,44 μm, Trigonellavelutina'da 1,67-2,59 μm, Trigonella cretica'da 0,98-1,49 μm, Trigonellacoerulescens'de 1,16-1,81 μm, Trigonella procumbens'de 0,99-1,72 μm arasında tayinedildi. Bütün türlerin karyotipi metasentrik kromozomlardan oluşur sadece Trigonellavelutina satellite sahiptir. Bu türde satellitler 2 ve 6 numaralı kromozomların uzunkolunda yer almaktadır.The genus Trigonella belonging to family Fabaceae is represented by 50 species inTurkey. Chromosome numbers and measurements from 5 sections of 6 species of genusTrigonella were investigated from Turkey. All species are diploid with 2n=14, 2n=16and 2n=18. Chromosome lengths were determined between 1,29-1,74 μm in Trigonellaastroites, 1,06-1,44 μm in Trigonella fischeriana, 1,67-2,59 μm in Trigonella velutina,0,98-1,49 μm in Trigonella cretica, 1,16-1,81 μm in Trigonella coerulescens, 0,99-1,72μm in Trigonella procumbens. Karyotypes of all species consist of metacentricchromosomes, Trigonella velutina only has satellite.
