    A new species of the genus Synema Simon, 1864 (Araneae: Thomisidae) from Turkey

    Synema anatolica sp. n. (Araneae: Thomisidae) is described based on both sexes from Turkey. Differences between the new species and related species are discussed.

    New records of little-known species of Xysticus C. L. Koch, 1835 in Turkey (Araneae: Thomisidae)

    Xysticus edax (O. P.-Cambridge, 1872), X. caperatus Simon, 1875, and,X kaznakovi Utochkin, 1968 arc recorded for the first time from Turkey. The characteristic features and SEM photographs of the male palpal organs of these species are given. These records increase the number of species of the genus Xysticus found in Turkey to 40.

    Notes on Two Crab Spiders (Araneae: Thomisidae) from Turkey

    The spider species Xysticus abramovi MARUSIK & LOGUNOV, 1995 and X. pseudoluctuosus MARUSIK & LOGUNOV, 1995 (fam. Thomisidae) are recorded from Turkey for first time. First female description of X. abramovi is supplied based on specimens collected from Turkey. The characteristic features of this species are described and its general habitus and genital organs illustrated. Photographs of male palp of X. pseudoluctuosus is presented for first time. Data on collecting places and distribution all over the world of all species are also given.

    On the Occurrence of Some Running Crab Spiders (Araneae: Philodromidae) in Turkey

    New findings of the running crab spiders (Philodromidae) from Turkey are given. Four species are identified, two of which (Philodromus emarginatus (SCHRANK, 1803) and Thanatus fabricii (AUDOUIN, 1826) ape new for the fauna of Turkey; two (Thanatus imbecillus L. Koch, 1878 and T oblongiusculus (LUCAS, 1846)) have been shown to have much wider distributions in the country.

    Six New Records for the Turkish Spider Fauna (Arachnida: Araneae)

    Six spider species, Anelosimus vittatus (C. L. KOCH, 1836), Araniella displicata (HENTz, 1847), Enoplognatha oelandica (THORELL, 1875), Euophrys herbigrada (SIMON, 1871), Mendoza canestrinii 1868) and Sagana rutilans (THORELL, 1875), are reported for first time from Turkey. Exact locality and general distributions is provided for each species.

    Stability of the participation banking sector against the economic crisis in Turkey

    The purpose of this article is to analyze whether participating banking sector is more stable than conventional banking sector during the global economic crisis. The main point is that which banking system are financially less affected from the global economic crisis. For this anlysis, we have used trend analysis method for 2006-2011 on yearly basis. In this study, yearly financial ratios of conventional and participating banking sectors were utilized. Financial ratios can be sorted as profitability, liquidity, risknesss and asset quality ratios. Results of the study show that participating banking sector is more stable than conventional banking sector in terms of profitability, riskiness and liquidity during the analysis term which includes 2008 global economic crisis. In addition, both sectors are almost similiar and stable in terms of asset quality. © 2013, Econjournals. All rights reserved.
