    İlköğretim Öğretmenlerinin Dereceli Puanlama Anahtarlarına İlişkin Tutumlarını Yordayan Faktörler

    Bu çalışma, ilköğretim öğretmenlerin DPA’lara yönelik tutumlarını yordayan faktörleri belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Yordayıcı korelasyon araştırması modelindeki bu araştırmaya, Ankara ilinin farklı ilçelerindeki toplam 17 ilköğretim okulunda görev yapan 292 öğretmen katılmıştır. Araştırma verileri, araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen “Dereceli Puanlama Anahtarına İlişkin Tutum Ölçeği” ve anılan tutumlarla ilişkili faktörleri belirlemek amacıyla hazırlanan “anket” kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde aşamalı çoklu regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar, öğretmenlerin ilgili tutumlarının en önemli yordayıcılarının, öğretmenlerin DPA’lardan elde ettikleri bilgileri öğrencilerin bilgi ve becerilerini gerçek yaşam durumlarında ne derece kullandıklarını gözlemlemek amacıyla kullanması ve sınıf mevcudu olduğunu göstermiştir

    THE EXAMINATION OF TEACHER AND STUDENT EFFECTIVENESS AT TIMSS 2011 SCIENCE AND MATH SCORES USING MULTI LEVEL MODELS

    This study examines the effects of teachers. and students. features on student's science and mathematics performance employing two level hierarchical linear models using data from TIMSS 2011 conducted with Turkish 8th graders and their science and math teachers. The results of the research showed a significant mutual impact on science and math scores due to student's confidence with lessons and teacher's career satisfaction. The study also revealed a relationship between students' performance, students' perception of science and science teachers' confidence related to their expertise. The impacts of mentioned variables were discussed and implications for further research were provided.

    The Predictors of Elementary School Teacher's Attitudes towards Rubric

    This study was determining the factors predicting the elementary school teachers' attitudes towards scoring rubrics. The study was a correlation research model. It included 292 teachers at 17 elementary schools in several districts of Ankara. The data of the study was collected from a teacher survey and "Teacher's Attitude Scale toward Rubric" which was developed by the researchers. Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis was used in the data analysis of the study to examine the variables which predicted the teachers' attitudes toward rubrics significantly. The results indicated that the most important predictors of attitude were to use rubrics in class to observe students' knowledge and skills whether they use them in their daily life situations and the class size.
