Öğe Scapania gracilis Lindb. (Hepaticae, Scapaniaceae), new to bryophyte flora of Turkey(2013) Ezer T.; Kara R.; Alataş M.Scapania gracilis Lindb. is a hygro- to mesophytic liverwort species which is reported for the first time from Turkey. The species is described from material collected from the north-west Anatolia (Sakarya) which has very warm summers and mild winters with high annual rainfall (800-1000 mm) in Marmara region and very humid conditions. Turkish plants are described and illustrated.Öğe The epiphytic bryophyte flora and vegetation of Zonguldak-GÖbÜ village (Northwest Turkey)(Pakistan Botanical Society, 2015) Alataş M.; Kara R.; Ezer T.; Uyar G.; Batan N.The epiphytic bryophyte flora and vegetation of the Zonguldak-Göbü village was investigated in this study. Between the years 2012-2013, as a result of identification of the 236 epiphytic bryophyte samples collected from the trunks of trees; total of 29 taxa (8 liverworts, 21 mosses) belonging to 23 genera and 17 families were determined. As a result of evaluation of the 33 relevés taken from the trunk of trees by Braun-Blanquet method, the Plagiothecietum neglecti association, Pylaisietum polyanthae typicum and Pylaisietum polyanthae -lophocoleetosum heterophyllae subassociation are identified. From these syntaxa, Plagiothecietum neglecti has been reported for the first time in Turkey, in addition Pylaisietum polyanthae -lophocoleetosum heterophyllae subassociation is new for knowledge. The life forms and life strategies of syntaxa examined in terms of ecological and floristic have been analyzed. Mat and weft are dominant of the life forms while Ag is dominant of the life strategies. In addition, the most taxa of floristic list are determimed mesophytic, sciophyt and acidic as a character. © 2015, Pakistan Botanical Society. An Index of Ecological Significance (IES) was used to evaluate the ecological importance of the species in the epiphytic habitats. In a total of 94 quadrats, 4 dm2 each, we observed 25 species of bryophytes (6 liverworts, 19 mosses) in six different life-forms. Species affinity for the epiphytic habitat and their life-forms were evaluated along a gradient of height and the gradient of age of the host tree. Brachythecium rutabulum, Brachytheciastrum velutinum, Homalia trichomanioides, and Lophocolea heterophylla were only found on young trees, Grimmia pulvinata only on middle-aged trees, and Isothecium alopecuroides, Syntrichia montana, Frullania tamarisci, and Porella platyphylla on aged trees.Öğe Vegetathe bryophyte flora of Aladağlar National Park (Turkey)(Estonian Naturalists' Society, 2015) Ezer T.; Kara R.; Seyli T.; Ertek A.In this study, the bryophyte flora of Aladağlar National Park was investigated. Based on the result of identifications of 3672 bryophyte specimens collected from the national park, total of 249 taxa were found (13 liverworts, 236 mosses). Among them, Marchantia polymorpha L. subsp. ruderalis Bischl. & Boisselier, Preissia quadrata (Scop.) Nees, Physcomitrium eurystomum Sendtn, Schistidium sordidum I.Hagen, Brachythecium capillaceum (F.Weber & D.Mohr) Giacom, and Hypnum bambergeri Schimp. are recorded for the second time from Turkey. Also, a total of 57 taxa were reported for the first time from C13, according to the grid-square in the system of Turkey adopted by Henderson. © 2015, Estonian Naturalists' Society.
