For this purpose, a novel compact dual-mode open loop resonator with short-circuited stubs and interdigital capacitors is proposed. Two identical resonators are coupled to two output ports in order to obtain 180° phase difference between the output ports. By means of the changes in the short-circuited stubs and interdigital capacitors, control of the passbands at two output ports can be achieved. In addition, as the short-circuited stubs are located at the same wave traveling paths, phase difference cannot be obtained in the first passband and only the second passband has balun function. The designed balun bandpass filter was fabricated and tested for the experimental verifications. Phase difference and magnitude imbalance have been measured within 180° ± 2° and 0.5 dB, respectively. The measured results exhibit a very good agreement with the predicted results. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.Öğe Fast and simple analytical expressions for quasistatic parameters of asymmetric coplanar lines(1995) Karpuz C.; Görür A.; Görür H.; Alkan M.Fast and simple CAD-oriented analytical expressions for the characteristic impedance and the effective permittivity of asymmetric coplanar waveguides and coplanar strip lines are derived using the conformal mapping method. It has been found that the results calculated using analytical expressions obtained in the present article are in very good agreement with the analytical and experimental results given in the literature. The formulas derived in this study have also been verified to be valid for symmetric coplanar waveguide and strip lines. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. The effect of variation in the one's width of longer strips of OLR formed in two ways (namely, CPW fixed gap (FG) and CPW variable gap (VG) OLR) on their resonance characteristics is discussed. Also, simple empirical expressions indicating the effect of variation in the strip width are derived for estimation of the resonance frequency as a function of the variable strip width and the fundamental resonance frequency of the standard CPW loop resonator. © 2000 IEEE.
