The aim for the establishment of such organizations was to help the immigrants, refugees, poor and the kids of martyrs The first daruleytam was established in Istanbul and others followed in important towns in Anatolia to meet accomadation, food and drink needs of orphans as well as their education requirements. Daruleytam in Istanbul was closed because of the occupation of Istanbul by the Allied Powers. However those in Anatolia continued to exist until 1927 under the control of The Turkish National Assembly Government. It is observed that a sample of these organizations together with the regulations, instructions, the conditions for the accaptance of the students and the managements' methods was founded in Nigde. Although Nigde Daruleytam did not have sufficient facilities, it successfully helped those needy people around by the assistance of the local people there.
