Öğe Effect of Na2S+NaOH pre-identification leaching on oxidized refractory Au-Ag ores(2024) Yoğurtcuoğlu, Emine; Alp, İbrahimThis study was conducted to investigate the effect of the alkaline sulfide (Na2S+NaOH) pre-identification process on cyanide leaching performance in oxidized refractory gold-silver ores. The ore has intensive oxide, carbonate, and silicate content, and contains Au/Ag minerals containing electrum, acanthite, and silver-bearing FePbZn Sulphate-Arsenate/Hydroxide minerals together with Fe, Pb, and Zn minerals. Niğde Ulukışla refractory Au/Ag ore has 8-9 g/T gold and 170-180 g/T silver grades. In mineralogical examinations, it was found that these metals were closed in minerals such as iron oxy/oxyhydroxide, calcite, and quartz or neighboring these minerals. In the cyanide soluble process after alkali sulfide preliminary procedure at room temperature, metal extraction yields were obtained as 62% for gold and 7% for silver. It is seen that silver is adversely affected by this process compared to the direct cyanidation process. However, after the hot alkali treatment process, metal extractions improved by approximately 25% of gold and 74% of silver. This increase in yield can be considered as converting Ag-oxyhydroxide into soluble Ag forms as a result of the effect of hot alkaline sulfur leaching on the cyanide process. The most important advantage of this decomposition process is to achieve high metal extraction efficiency in lower alkali concentrations.Öğe GOSSAN YAPILI CEVHERLERDE Au/Ag KAZANIMI ÜZERİNE SİYANÜRLEME PARAMETRELERİNİN ETKİSİ(2018) Yoğurtcuoğlu, Emine; Alp, İbrahimBu çalışma da, Niğde Ulukışla Gossan yapılı altın gümüş cevherlerine, alkali ortamda siyanür parametresininetkinliği incelenmiştir. Optimum şartlarda yapılan deneyler sonrası her iki reaktifle modifiye edilmiş kalsit ürünleri üzerinde aktive oranı (A.O.), boyut dağılım analizi, TG-DTA analizi, FT-IR analizi yapılmıştır. FROM FLOTATION TAILINGS WITH CITRIC ACID ON THE NACl MEDIA(2023) Yoğurtcuoğlu, EmineAfter the flotation process of oxidized lead-zinc ores, the high amount of metal (especially zinc metal) in its content cannot be recovered and is stored as waste. Ore and (therefore) tailings are found together with gangue minerals such as calcite, and dolomite, which are oxide/carbonate minerals. Precious minerals are zinc, lead, silver, and iron-containing minerals such as smithsonite, hydrozincite, plumbojarosite, and goethite. The particle size of the sample taken from this waste was determined as d80= 78.22µm. In order to recover these ore wastes with high metal content, the dissolution of citric acid, which is a weak organic acid, in NaCl medium was investigated. When the study was examined at a concentration of 0.5 M citric acid and 200 g/L NaCl, for 1 hour at 60 ?, 10% solids, it was found that 66.85% Zn, 56.53% Pb, 40.68% Ag, and 27.74% Fe were dissolved. According to the results of this experiment, keeping each of these parameters constant, 0.125-1 M citric acid, 50-400 g/L NaCl, 15-120 minutes leaching time, 25-95 ? leaching temperature, and 5-40% solids metal. The efficiency of the gain yields was tried to be determined. When the final results are examined, there are 60-80% zinc, 40-70% lead, 0.01-35% iron, and 11-83% silver recovery efficiencies. In light of these results, it is thought that industrial-scale improvements in multi-metal recovery from oxidized ore wastes may improve positive results.Öğe Usage of acetic acid for boric acid production from boron wastes(2022) Yoğurtcuoğlu, EmineTurkey's boric acid production has the highest production share among refined boron products. This production is takes place at the Bandırma (Balıkesir) and Emet (Kütahya) Boric Acid Plants of ETI Maden Operations. Concentrated ore (by physical processes) and high-grade wastes accumulated in waste ponds/dams are obtained from boron production plants. In this study, slime size (d80=52.70?m) wastes belonging to the Bigadiç field with 9-12% B2O3 (ulexite-colemanite) content have been evaluated. Due to the small size of feeding without the need for grinding, the sample was subjected to leaching of acetic acid at 60°C for 1 hour, at a mixing speed of 1500 rpm, at 7% solids. In addition to the recovery of 90% H3BO3 (at 4% acid concentration) after the leaching process, different compounds such as Na2O, and CaO were also obtained. Similar peaks were found in the FT-IR analyzes of boric acid and the product obtained. This study is an important output in terms of evaluating the % B2O3 content in the wastes of both this plant and other boron plants.
