Özet

Discrete Singular Convolution (DSC) method has been proposed to obtain frequencies of tapered rectangular plates. Regularized Shannon's Delta (RSD) kernel is selected as a singular convolution to illustrate the present algorithm. In the proposed approach, the derivatives in both the governing equations and the boundary conditions are discretized by the method of DSC. Frequency parameters are obtained for different types of boundary conditions, tapered shapes and aspect ratios. The effect of circumferential node number on the frequency of the shell is also analyzed. The obtained results are compared with those of other numerical methods. Numerical results indicate that the Discrete Singular Convolution (DSC) is a simple, accurate and reliable algorithm for free vibration analysis of tapered plates.
