dc.description.abstract | In social studies, great deals of materials are used during the educational activities. However, the written materials are used most. The factors that have influence on the process of students' learning from written materials can be explained under three main titles like: individual differences, factors caused by the text and environmental factors. The most important factor group of this classification is the individual differences, in which teachers and students experience difficulties to control. Therefore, in this study, the factors affecting students' learning from written materials have been touched on briefly and recommendations have been given about individual factors, their features and how social studies teachers can minimize the negative affects of these factors during the education period. | |
