Selection and collection of plum genetic material were carried out for four years in the Eastern Mediterranean Region of Turkey, and thirty-seven genotypes were selected. Information about the growing conditions and the tree characteristics of the selections were recorded. Some pomological characteristics were also investigated. Five genotypes were found to be promising for their precocity, and ten for their fruit quality. These studies are being continued.
