In this study, we have comparatively evaluated the effect of reference inputs in the filtering of Brainstem Auditory Evoked Potentials (BAEP). Trial-to-trial variations in BAEP signal are very important in quantifying dynamical properties of the nervous system and in specifying the group-specific effects in clinical studies. Therefore, we have performed a wavelet network based nonlinear FIR filtering system designed in our previous study [1] for three different reference inputs. Consequently, the simulation results are presented and they are verified that the prefiltered reference input is the best among them for adaptive filtering of the BAEP signal.
