In this study, the wet ultra fine grinding of calcite (CaCO3) powder in a vertical stirred mill was performed. The influence of some operating variables such as solids concentration, stirrer speed and ball filling ratio on the product fineness and specific surface area of ground products was discussed. © 2012 Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
