Özet
An effective and highly selective cloud point extraction method was produced for separation of Pb (II) ions from its matrix. The basics of the method depend on the formation of a stable complex between Pb (II) ions and Fast Green FCF dye molecules at pH 7.0. The quantitative extraction of the stable complex into the surfactant-rich phase Tergitol NP-7 was achieved successfully at 40 degrees C. The concentration of Pb (II) was measured by FAAS after its preconcentration. The CPE procedure displayed good analytical characteristics such as limit of detection value of 1.81 mu g L-1, and linearity under optimum conditions. The preconcentration factor of Pb (II) was found as 25 for 50 mL sample volume. Pb (II) ions were quantitatively separated with tolerable limits existence of common matrix ions. The selectivity of the method was also proved in the presence of secondary metal matrix ions. The optimized method was then employed for Pb (II) analysis in wastewater and freshwater samples.
