dc.description.abstract | A dual-mode resonator With square patches attached to inner corners of a conventional microstrip loop resonator is proposed. The two types of coupling between the degenerate modes are described by changing the perturbation's size for realization of either a Chebyshev or an elliptic function filter. A novel type of dual-mode microstrip bandpass filter using degenerate modes of this type of dual-mode resonators is developed. It is shown that the perturbation's size determines the filter characteristic, whether it is Chebyshev characteristic or elliptic characteristic. | |
