Özet
In the line with the limitation of the title, in the paper where Thomson's description about the term of motif is substantially investigated, the evaluations about the creation of wolf motif in Turkish belief and epics are examined. It is asserted in this paper that the wolf is not a tos, ongon or totem together with the explanations. It is claimed that the terms of "Ongon" and "tos" are related to Turkish death cult, moreover in the context of reproduction in ongons, the idea that ongons are not ancestor animals is subjected. As the main hypothesis of the paper, the assertion that Grey wolf is holy because of being a creature in the manner of God in the Turkish myths and epics is tried to be proved. It is pointed that this case is related to the philosophy of oneness of existence in Islamic mysticism more than being a belief of penetration in ancient Turks. In the paper which focuses on God as the holy presence taking care of Turkish life and future, the basic acceptance of Turkish myths is pointed as the necessity of divine order in different eras. It is emphasized that the ideas of calling Atilla as God's whip, Bilge Kagan with the belief of managing the human beings and Ottoman sultans characterizing themselves as God's silhouette in the world are arisen from the same origin.
