How was Europe, on the day of the Second World War broke out ? Were European major powers, aware of the coming war, ready for that? What was the environment? How did it develop? In this article, the situation in Europe on the day war broke out, is discussed and analyzed in five headings; political, military, technological, economic, social and psychological. The Second World War was different from the previous wars with its fast and variable structure. Especially in the first half is a war with plenty of surprises. The fact that the war was fast and bringing new surprises constantly; is closely related to the preparations of the belligerents before the war and the adequacy of those preparations during the war. Therefore, we can only understand the conditions that affect the course of war, by examining the situation on the day of the war.
