Öğe Improvement of Wear Resistance in Toothed Harrows Coated with HVOF and PVD Methods(Tarbiat Modares Univ, 2023) Saygili, Y. S.; Cakmak, B.Surfaces of the toothed harrow were improved by using different coating materials and methods. Four different coating methods and special alloy powders were used as coating materials. TiCN was applied with PVD, and the WC-Ni-Co-Cr-Si-Fe-B powder mixture was applied with HVOF. The coating thicknesses was 2 mu m and 5 mu m in PVD, 500 mu m in the HVOF, and 500+2 mu m in the application where HVOF+PVD were used together. The wear trials were carried out in the laboratory, at a 50 km distance, in a double-speed trial pattern that converted circular motion to linear motion. The trial model was used to simulate the wear that occurs under real operating conditions in the soil. As a result of the wear trials carried out under the same operating conditions, a total material loss of 3.99 g occurred in the control (uncoated) harrow, the wear resistance increased, and less material loss was observed in the coated harrows. The sample coated with the PVD method had the lowest value with a material loss of 0.14 g. Material loss for other coated samples PVD-5 mu, HVOF-500 mu, and PVD-2 mu+HVOF-500 mu was 0.19, 0.28, and 0.18 g, respectively. When the amount of wear in the uncoated sample was 100%, the proportional loss in PVD-2 mu, PVD- 5 mu, HVOF-500 mu, and PVD-2 mu+HVOF-500 mu coated samples was calculated as 3.41, 4.85, 7.16, and 4.57%, respectively.Öğe Maternal serum levels of SCUBE1 in missed abortion(Imr Press, 2020) Destegul, E.; Gencdal, S.; Sari, I; Akkaya, H.; Gencdal, N.; Cakmak, B.Purpose of Investigation: To investigate the alterations of SCUBE1 levels in patients with missed abortion. Materials and Methods: Patients with missed abortion (n = 40) and age and gestational age-matched with normal early pregnancy cases (n = 40) were recruited for the study. All the patients' ultrasound examinations were performed by single physician to assess the variability of conception. And to evaluate the SCUBE1 levels, venous blood samples were collected and measured with specific enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays. Results: SCUBE1 levels were found lower at missed group than control group (p < 0.001) while other hematologic parameters were similar in both groups. Conclusion: Low maternal blood levels of the SCUBE1 may be related with missed abortion by causing alterations in placental angiogenesis.
