Özet
Türkiye Cumhuriyeti, bağımsızlık mücadelesini kazandıktan sonra yeni Türkiye'nin inşası için çalışmalar başlatmıştır. Şüphesiz bu çalışmaların en sistemlisi ve halk tarafından da büyük bir memnuniyetle karşılanan inkılâplardan birisi de Atatürk tarafından kurulan halkevleridir.19 Şubat 1932 tarihinde, başlangıçta 14 vilayette açılan, büyük bir hızla yayılarak 478 Halkevi ve 4322 Halkodasına ulaşan halkevleri ülkenin kültürel kalkınmasında, Cumhuriyetin getirdiği değerlerin geniş halk kitlelerine ulaşmasında çok önemli bir işlev yerine getirmiştir. Halkevleri ve Halkodaları sayesinde, bilim, kültür ve sanat faaliyetleri Anadolu'nun en ücra köşelerine kadar yayılmıştır.Siyasi iradenin de desteğini alan Halkevleri, dokuz farklı şube olarak; (Dil, Edebiyat ve Tarih, Güzel Sanatlar, Temsil, Spor, Sosyal Yardım, Halk Dershaneleri ve Kurslar, Kütüphane ve Yayın, Köycülük, Müze ve Sergi) teşkilatlanmıştır. Türk inkılâbını halka benimsetmek ve modern Türkiye'nin kurulması için çalışmak görevini üstlenmiştir.Bu Halkevlerinden birisi de Niğde Halkevi'dir. Yaptığı yayınlarla, açtığı kurslarla, verdiği konferanslarla halka ulaşan Niğde Halkevi, halkın bilgi ve kültürünün artmasında önemli görevler üstlenmiştir. Aynı zamanda köylü kentli vatandaşın kaynaşmasını da sağlayan bu halkevi, ulus devleti ve milli birliği sağlamada devletin öncü kolu olmuştur.Halkevleri Demokrat Parti'nin TBMM'ye girmesiyle zayıflamaya başlamış; DP iktidar olduktan sonra çeşitli nedenlerden dolayı 8 Ağustos 1951 tarihinde kapatılmıştır. Halkevleri kapatıldığında biri yurt dışında olmak üzere 478 Halkevi ve 4322 Halkodası mevcuttu.Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin kuruluşu ne kadar büyük bir mücadeleyse, bu Cumhuriyetin yaşatılması için yapılanlar da en az o kadar büyük ve önemli bir mücadeledir. In the Republic of Turkey works have been started to develop the new Turkey after victory of independence conflict. Doubtlessly, the most systematical one of these works is community centers which have been assembled by Ataturk and those places were also one of the reforms and won the public?s pleasure. Community centers that have also taken the political support were organized with nine different branches (Language, Literature and History, Fine Arts, Figurative, Sport, Social Relief, Public Classrooms and Courses, Library and Publish, Village Support, Museum and Gallery). One of these community centers that aimed to be claimed the Turkish revolution to the public and to work for developing the Modern Turkey is Nigde Community Center.Nigde Community Center has undertaken important duties on the increase of knowledge and culture of public with its publications and conferences. Nigde Community Center also achieved the closing of the people who lives in villages and cities and it has been a vanguard of the government to make the national solidarity and nation state. Community Centers have started to weaken after entering the Democratic Party to TGNA (Turkish Grand National Assembly) and they were being closed in August 8, 1951 because of political reasons after the Democratic Party?s being the governing party. When the community centers closed there were 478 community centers one was in a foreign country and 4322 community rooms. To prolong of the Republic is a big conflict as much as its assembling. It is a miracle that only big nations like Turkish Nation can carry out to assemble a modern Republic from a country where the literacy ratio was 5%.Keywords: Community Centers, Community Rooms, Modernization, Nigde
