Özet
Yoksulluk; hem dünyada hem Türkiye’de gün geçtikçe artan ve önemini koruyan problemlerin başında gelmektedir. Dünya Bankası, Birleşmiş Milletler gibi uluslararası kuruluşların ilgili raporlarında ve ülkelerin kırsal odaklı kalkınma politikalarında; yoksulluğun azaltılması ve yoksulluğun beraberinde getirdiği negatif sonuçların ortadan kaldırılmasında “yoksul yanlı turizmin” etkili bir araç olabileceği vurgulanmaktadır. Yoksul Yanlı Turizm en genel anlamıyla; turizm sektörüne dayalı kalkınma faaliyetlerinin, yoksul kesimin ihtiyaçlarını gidermesi ve yoksulların yaşam kalitesini iyileştirmesidir. Yoksul yanlı turizm şeffaf süreci kapsayan bir yaklaşım olup, yoksul yanlı turizmin bu süreçte amacı ekonomik döngüde karar almaya yoksulları da dahil etmektir. Bu noktadan hareketle çalışmanın amacını; Türkiye’de yoksulluğu azaltmada politika olan turizmin; iş kolu sağlamaya, refah seviyesini yükseltmeye, gelir düzeyini iyileştirmeye yaptığı katkılardan bahsedilecek ve ilgili vaka örnekleriyle konuya açıklık kazandırılacaktır
Poverty; both in the world and in Turkey is one of the main problem that is exponentially increasing in the present days. In the relevant reports of international organizations, such as the World Bank, the United Nations, and the country's ruraloriented development policies; It is emphasized that “pro poor tourism” approach can play an effective role to reduce poverty and the negative consequences of poverty. Pro Poor Tourism approach in its most general sense is; to improve the needs of the poor and the quality of life of poor people through development activities based on tourism sector. Pro poor tourism approach is a transparent process, the purpose of pro poor tourism is to involve the poor in decision making in the economic cycle. From this point of view the purpose of the study is to recognize tourism sector as reducing poverty, raising the level of welfare and to improving the income level and contributing to the business line through case examples to clarify the issue.
