dc.description.abstractBu araştırmanın amacı; Türkiye’de büyükşehir belediyelerinin sosyal hizmet ve sosyal yardım faaliyetlerini sosyal belediyeciliğin gelişimi bağlamında, yedi büyükşehir belediyesi örneğinde incelemek ve belediyelere bu hizmet alanlarında öneriler geliştir- mektir. Araştırmada, Türkiye’de her bir coğrafi bölgeden seçilen; İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Antalya, Diyarbakır, Samsun ve Erzurum Büyükşehir Belediyeleri ziyaret edilmiş ve bu belediyelerde ilgili birimlerde çalışan 25 belediye çalışanı ile derinlemesine mülakatlar gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda; incelenen belediyelerde sosyal belediyeciliğin nasıl algılandığı ve uygulama bulduğu, belediyelerin sosyal yardım ve sosyal hizmet birimlerinin örgütlenmeleri, sosyal yardımlarda ve hizmetlerde muhtaçlık kriterlerinin belirlenmesi ve sosyal hizmet ve sosyal yardım hizmetlerin sunumu ile ilgili tespit edilen sorunlar sıralanmış ve bu konularda büyükşehir belediyeleri için öneriler geliştirilmiştir.
dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to examine social aids and social services of metro- politan municipalities in Turkey in the context of the development of social municipality concept. Seven selected metropolitan municipalities from different geographical regions, which are İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Diyarbakır, Samsun and Erzurum, were visited and in-depth interviews were conducted with 25 municipality officals in relevant units of the municipalities. The problems identified in the municipalities regarding the perception and application of social municipality, the organisation of social welfare and social service units, the determination of need criteria in social aids and the presentation of social welfare services are listed and proposals have been made for the municipalities for en- hancing these services.
