Özet
Bu çalışma enerji tüketimi ile karbon ayak izi arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesi amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Çalışmada enerji tüketimi ve karbon ayak izi arasındaki ilişki 1992-2018 yılları arasını ve E7 ülkelerini kapsayacak şekilde incelenmiş ve ilgili literatür taraması yapılmıştır. Araştırmada dinamik panel veri analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Güncel ekonometrik yöntemlerin kullanıldığı çalışmada öncelikle değişkenlerde ve eş bütünleşme denkleminde yatay kesit bağımlılığı ve homojenite araştırılmış, devamında yapısal kırılmalı birim kök ve eş bütünleşme testleri uygulanmıştır. Bu çalışmada; yapılan testler ülke bazlı incelendiğinde yenilenebilir enerji tüketiminin karbon ayak izi üzerindeki etkisinin Çin dışındaki tüm ülkelerde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı olduğu, yenilenebilir enerji tüketiminin payındaki %1'lik bir artışın Çin dışındaki ülkelerde karbon ayak izini belirli oranlarda azalttığı tespit edilmiş ve bununla ilgili politika önerilerinde bulunulmuştur.
This study was prepared to determine the relationship between energy consumption and carbon footprint. In the study, the relationship between energy consumption and carbon footprint was examined in a way to cover the years 1992-2018 and E7 countries, and the relevant literature was searched. Dynamic panel data analysis method was used in the research. In the study, in which current econometric methods are used, first of all, cross-section dependence and homogeneity in variables and cointegration equation were investigated, and then unit root and cointegration tests with structural break were applied. In this study; When the tests were examined on a country-by-country basis, it was found that the effect of renewable energy consumption on carbon footprint was statistically significant in all countries except China, and that a 1% increase in the share of renewable energy consumption reduced the carbon footprint in countries other than China by certain percentages and policy recommendations were made in this regard.
