Özet
Tanzimat Fermanı’nın ilanı ile birlikte Osmanlı Devleti’nde öncelikle idari ve mali alanlarda bazı değişiklikler uygulamaya koyulmuştur. Mali alanda yapılan düzenlemeler toplumun sosyal ve ekonomik yapısı üzerinde doğrudan etkili olduğu için bu alanda yapılan araştırmalar bize yakın tarihimiz açısından kıymetli bilgiler sunmaktadır. Biz de bu yönde bir çalışma içine girerek 1840 yılı Niğde eyaletine bağlı Çamardı (Bereketlü) kazasının sosyal ve ekonomik yapısını araştırdık Çalışmada ana kaynak olarak 16007-16008 numaralı Temettuat defterinden faydalandık. Osmanlı Devleti’nin vergi kaynaklarını ve mükelleflerini tespit etmek amacıyla uyguladığı temettuat sayımları 19. Yüzyıl Osmanlı Devleti’nin sosyal ve ekonomik yapısı ile ilgili önemli bilgiler vermektedir. Elimizdeki defter dışında, zamanın iktisadi ve sosyal yapısı ile alakalı bilgiler edinmek amacıyla mevcut tetkik eserlerden faydalandık. Dört bölümden oluşan çalışmanın ilk bölümünde Çamardı kazasının bağlı olduğu Niğde ilinin tarihçesinden bahsedilerek Tanzimat öncesindeki Tahrir ve sonrasındaki Temettuat sayımları hakkında bilgi verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde Çamardı kazası ve köylerinin idari ve sosyal yapısı, nüfusu ve meslek grupları tablo ve grafiklerle ayrıntılı olarak gösterilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde bölgedeki tarım ve hayvancılık faaliyetlerine değinilmiştir. Dördüncü ve son bölümde ise 1840 yılı Çamardı kazasının vergi dağılımı tablo ve grafiklerle gösterilerek yorumlanmıştır.
In Ottoman State with declaration of Edict of Tanzimat firstly put in to practice some changes on administrative and financial fields. Regulations on the financial fields which is directly effective on the society's social end economic life gives to the researchers precious information about the near history. Therefore we investigated social and economic structure of Çamardı (Bereketlü) district in 1840. In this work we used as a main source "Temettû" books numbered 16007- 16008."Temettû" countings which is applyed by Ottoman State for the purpose of to identfy the tax sources and the amenables gives important informations social and economic life of Ottoman State in 19. century. Expect the this "Temettû" books we used availabbe audit works to get information about that time's economic and social life. The thesis which consist of four parts in the first section we mentioned history of Nigde than we have been give information about "Tahrir" books and "Temettû" countings. In the second section of the thesis it is shown in detail with graphics and charts administrative and social structures, population and occupational groups of Çamardı district. In the third section it is mentioned agriculuturel and stockfarming activities in the region. In the last chapter tax distribution of Çamardı district at 1840 is commented by showing graphics and charts.
