Özet
Izzeddin Keykavus Hospital (Darussifa), one of the most important hospitals of the Anatolian Seljuk period, was built in 1217 by Sultan Izzeddin Keykavus. The foundation conditions of the building, which could not continue its hospital function in the Ottoman period, were changed in line with the madrasah service and it was used as a madrasah until the end of the 19th century. It was abandoned in the last period of the wars of the Ottoman Empire, and as a result of neglect, some parts of it were destroyed and largely destroyed. After 1930, the Darussifa was included in the protection and restoration program of the government with the efforts to register and repair the old works. In this context, the first works started with the 1938 excavations and continued with extensive restoration works after 1960. The repairs carried out between 1960 and 1970 were aimed at integration and consolidation. It gained its current appearance with the restorations between 2009-2012. The Darussifa, which provides important information about its period with both its architectural features and its endowment, should be well preserved and repaired carefully. Whether the original state of the building has been interfered with will be clarified as a result of a detailed investigation of the restoration works. In this context, various repairs of the Darussifa until today are discussed. In addition, the deteriorations in the structure and their causes were determined, and the repairs carried out were evaluated according to the restoration techniques.
