Özet
Bu araştırmada, öğretmen adaylarının çokkültürlülüğe yönelik tutumlarının bazı değişkenlere göre incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, 2015-2016 bahar yarıyılında Kafkas Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesinde birinci sınıftan dördüncü sınıfa kadar öğrencisi bulunan Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği, Sınıf Öğretmenliği, Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği, Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği ve Psikolojik Danışma ve Rehberlik programlarından oluşmaktadır. Araştırma, ilgili programların tüm sınıflarındaki öğretmen adayları arasından araştırmaya gönüllü olarak katılmak isteyenlerle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmaya 292 öğretmen adayı katılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Munroe ve Pearson'un (2006) "Çokkültürlülük Tutum Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılanların demografik özellikleri yüzde ve frekans ile yaş, bölge, program ve sınıf grupları arasında anlamlı farklılığın olup olmadığı tek yönlü ANOVA Testi ile analiz edilmiş, anlamlı farklılıklar LSD analizleri ile yapılmıştır. Katılımcıların cinsiyetleri ve anadilleri arasında anlamlı farklılık olup olmadığı bağımsız t-Testi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının çokkültürlülük konusunda "yüksek" düzeyde olumlu tutuma sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öğretmen adaylarının çokkültürlülük tutumları, yaşlarına ve öğrenim gördükleri sınıflara göre anlamlı farklılık göstermezken, cinsiyetlerine, geldikleri bölgeye, programa ve anadillerine göre anlamlı farklılıklar göstermektedir
This study aims to examine the attitudes of the teacher candidates towards multiculturalism according to some variables. The survey model was used in this study. The study group consists of Preschool Teacher Education, Primary School Teacher Education, Science Teacher Education, Social Studies Teacher Education and Psychological Counselling and Guidance Programs, which have students from the first grade to the fourth grade in the Faculty of Education, University of Kafkas in spring semester 2015-2016. The study was carried out with the volunteers who wanted to participate in the research among the teacher candidates in all grades of the related programs. 292 teacher candidates participated in the study. The data was gathered through Munroe and Pearson’s (2006) "Multicultural Attitude Scale". The demographic characteristics of the participants were analyzed by percentage and frequency values. The one-way ANOVA test was used to determine whether there was a significant difference between age, region, program, and grade variables, and significant differences were analyzed by the LSD test. Whether or not there was a significant difference between the participants' gender and mother tongue variables was analyzed by independent t-test. As a result of the research, it was determined that prospective teachers had a high level of positive attitude towards multiculturalism. While the teacher candidates’ attitudes towards multiculturalism did not show any significant difference according to their age and grades, it showed significant difference according to gender, region, program and mother tongue variables
