Özet
Nâmî'nin asıl adı Mehmed, şiirlerinde kullandığı mahlas ise Nâmî'dir. Kaynaklarda doğumuyla ilgili bilgi tespit edilememiştir fakat vefatına düşülen tarihten 1604 olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Sultan III. Murad ve Sultan III. Mehmed dönemlerinde yaşamıştır. Sultan III.

He lived during the reign of Sultan III. Murad and Sultan III. He witnessed the magnificent circumcision wedding organized by Sultan Murad III for the prince Mehmed III. He also praised the important statesmen of that period in the odes he wrote. It is stated in many sources that his father, Mîrek Mustafa, was a physician in the Ottoman palace and that he was also a poet. This study aims to examine the poet's divan in terms of literature. While preparing this thesis, Analysis of Hayâlî Bey's Divan prepared by Cemal Kurnaz in 1996, Ahmet Pasha's World of Poetry prepared by Harun Tolasa in 2001, Analysis of Necâti Bey's Divan prepared by Mehmet Çavuşoğlu in 1971, Nev'i prepared by Mustafa Nejat Sefercioğlu in 2001 were consulted. The analysis of his Divan was taken as a basis, and it it is an attempt to determine the metaphors used by Nâmî. As a result, it was tried to create a step for studies that will investigate both the place and originality of Nâmî in his own period and the common and different aspects of him with the poets after him.
