Özet
Yumuşak çeliğin korozyonuna 1,0 M HCl çözeltisinde farklı derişimlerde karbazol'üninhibisyon etkisi kısa ve uzun bekleme sürelerinde elektrokimyasal impedans (EIS) veaçık devre potansiyelinin değişiminin ölçülmesi ile araştırıldı. Kısa süreli testlerdepotansiyodinamik polarizasyon ve lineer polarizasyon direnci çalışıldı.Potansiyodinamik polarizasyon eğrilerinden bu bileşiğin 1,0 M HCl çözeltisindeyumuşak çeliğe karma tip inhibitör olarak davrandığı belirlendi. Karbazol'ünadsorpsiyon davranışının Langmuir adsorpsiyon izotermine uyduğu bulundu.Adsorpsiyon denge sabiti ve adsorpsiyon serbest enerjisi belirlendi. Korozyondavranışına sıcaklığın etkisi 298 ? 328 K'de inhibitörsüz ve 1,0x10-3 M inhibitör içerençözeltilerde çalışıldı. Farklı sıcaklıktaki korozyon hızlarından aktivasyon enerjilerihesaplandı.
In this study, the inhibition effect of different concentrations of carbazole on thecorrosion behavior of mild steel (MS) in 1.0 M HCl solution at 298 K temperature waspracticed in both short and long immersion times by measuring electrochemicalimpedance spectroscopy (EIS) and change of open circuit potential. For short-term tests,potentiodynamic polarization and linear polarization resistance were also studied.Polarization data indicate that this compound act as mixed-type inhibitor for mild steelin 1.0 M HCl. Langmuir isotherm is found to provide an accurate description of theadsorption behaviour of the investigated Carbazole compound. Adsorption equilibriumconstant and adsorption free energy were determined. The effect of temperature on thecorrosion behaviour in the absence of any inhibitor and in the presence of 1,0x10-3 MCarbazole was studied in the range of 298?328 K. Activation energies were calculatedfrom the obtained corrosion rates at different temperatures.
