This study was conducted to examine the effects of psychological and technical responses to basketball-specific 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 small-sided games (SSG). Eighteen young female basketball players whose age was 15.6 ± 0.7 years, height 175.0 ± 4.9 cm, body weight 63.7 ± 7.0 kg, basketball age 5.6 ± 0.7 years, body mass index 20.8 ± 1.1 voluntarily participated in the study. Before starting the measurements, the basketball players were informed about the measurements and after the necessary documents were signed, anthropometric measurements and Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test 1 (Yo-Yo IRT-1) were applied to the basketball players participating in the study. In basketball-specific 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 games, rating of perceived exertion (RPE), physical activity enjoyment scale (PACES), visual analog scale (VAS) and emotion (EM) responses of the players were determined at the end of each set. As a result of the study, significant differences were found in RPE, PACES, EM responses in 2v2, 3v3 and 4v4 games (p<0,05). In addition to these results, significant differences were found in the technical responses to 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 games in defensive rebounds, total rebounds, successful 2 points, unsuccessful 3 points, total successful shooting, total unsuccessful shooting, total shooting, successful pass, total pass and assist response (p<0,05). According to these results, it has been determined that the number of players in basketball-specific games affects psychological and technical responses. Coaches should intervene in the structure of the game according to the feature they want to develop in the players in basketball training and include basketball-specific small-sided games in the process to make the training more enjoyable.
