dc.description.abstractOsmanlı Devleti’nde Tanzimat dönemi ile birlikte birçok alanda yenilik çalışmaları başlatılmıştır. Bu çalışmalar kapsamında iktisadi alanda da yenilikler yapılmıştır. İktisadi alanda yapılan yeniliklerin en önemlisi şüphesiz ki vergi sisteminde yapılan değişikliktir. Halkın geliri oranında vergi alınabilmesi için yeni kanunlar oluşturularak düzenlemeler yapılmıştır. Oluşturulan yeni vergi sistemini uygulayabilmek için ülke genelinde halkın emlak, arazi, hayvan ve diğer tüm şahsi gelirlerinin kaydedildiği temettuat defterleri düzenlenmiştir. Ekonomik ve soyal açıdan önemli bilgiler ihtiva eden temettuat defterleri Osmanlı tarihi açısından değerli kaynaklardır. XIX. yüzyıl ortalarında Süleymanlı kazasının sosyo-ekonomik durumunu değerlendirdiğimiz bu çalışmaya Başbakanlık Osmanlı Arşivindeki Maliye Nezareti temettuat defterleri içinde bulunan Süleymanlı Kazası Temettuat Defterleri kaynak teşkil etmiştir. Bu defterler kapsamında Süleymanlı kazasına bağlı köylerin ve kazada yaşayan yörüklerin sosyal ve ekonomik durumu, nüfusu, vergi ve temettuat oranları ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Kaynak olarak kullanılan temettuat defterlerine göre Süleymanlı, Sivas Eyaleti’ne bağlı Bozok Sancağı’nın bir kazasıdır. Kazanın ekonomisi tarım ve hayvancılığa dayalıdır. Süleymanlı kazasına bağlı köylerde halkın tamamı Müslüman’dır.
dc.description.abstractIn Ottoman empire, with the era of Tanzimat, there were many reforms in different fields. In these reforms, there were some innovations in the economy. The most important reform in the economy, without doubt,is the changes in the taxing system. New laws were made to regulate the taxing system so that people were taxed according to their income. To apply new taxing system, “Temettu” books were used to record property, real estate, animals and the other personal incomes. “Temettu books which contain important information in economical and social ways are invaluable sources for Ottoman history. In this study that we carry out the socio-economical satus of Süleymanlıtownship in the mid 1900s, the Temettu books in the Ottoman archieve of Prime Ministry are used as sources. Within the scope of these books, we try to present social and economical satus, population, tax and “temettu” rates of Yoruk People who lived in Süleymanlı and in the villages tied to Süleymanlı. According to these Temettu books which were used as sources, Süleymanlı is a township of Bozokdistrict which was tied to Sivas province. The economy of the township is based on agriculture and stockbreeding. All the people in the villages tied to the township of Süleymanlı were Muslim
