Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı Niğde'nin 1932-1933 yılları arasında içinde bulunduğu sosyal, kültürel, ekonomik hayat hakkında bilgi edinmektir. O yıllara ait pek fazla kaynak olmaması nedeniyle, tez araştırması yapılırken genelde şehrin resmi gazetesi olan Resmi Niğde Gazetesi'nin iki yıllık sayılarından faydalanılmıştır. İnkılapların anlatılması, şehirden, ülkeden, dünyadan haberlerin halka ulaştırılabilmesi amacıyla yayın faaliyetlerini yürüten gazete, Niğde'de hayatın akışı hakkında önemli bilgiler içermektedir. Altı bölümden oluşan bu çalışmanın birinci bölümünde şehrin idari kadrosu ve siyasi faaliyetler hakkında bilgilere yer verilmiştir. İkinci bölümde şehri ziyaret eden önemli devlet adamları ile şehirdeki özel günler ve milli bayram kutlamalarından bahsedilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde şehrin sosyal ve kültürel hayatı başlığı altında halkevi, sağlık faaliyetleri, sosyal yardım kuruluşları, spor, konserler ve sinema gibi Niğde'deki sosyal hayat anlatılmıştır. Birçok konuda halka bilgilendirmeler yapan gazete ayrıca halkın sorunlarını yöneticilere bildirmesinde aracı olmuştur. Dördüncü bölümde eğitim öğretim faaliyetleri, kurslar, konferanslar, sergi ve müsamerelerden bahsedilmiştir. Beşinci bölümde ekonomi ve sanayi anlatılmıştır. Resmi Niğde Gazetesinde, 1929 yılında yaşanan ve etkileri 1930'lu yıllar boyunca devam eden dünya ekonomik krizinin Niğde'deki yansımaları dolayısıyla krize tedbir manasında halka ekonomik yönlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Altıncı ve son bölümde ise şehirdeki iskân ve bayındırlık faaliyetleri ile doğum, ölüm, nişan merasimleri, kazalar, afetler gibi günlük olaylar anlatılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda 1932-1933 yılları Niğde'de, ekonominin tarım ve hayvancılığa dayandığı, demiryolu ve halkevi açılışı gibi ekonomik ve sosyal gelişmelerin yaşanarak şehirdeki hayatın canlandığı, sağlık sektörünün bulunduğu devre göre ileride olduğu yıllardır. Eğitim öğretim imkanlar dahilinde sürdürülmüş, asayiş bozukluğu pek az olup güvenli bir şehir olduğu görülmüştür.
The aim of this research is to obtain information about the social, cultural and economic life of Niğde between 1932-1933. Due to the lack of many sources of those years, the two-year issues of the Official Niğde Newspaper, which is the official newspaper of the city, were generally used while conducting the thesis research. The newspaper, which carries out its publishing activities to explain the revolutions and to convey the news from the city, the country, and the world to the public, contains important information about the flow of life in Niğde. In the first part of this study, which consists of six parts, in the first part, information about the administrative staff and political activities in the city. In the second chapter, important statesmen visiting the city and special days and national holidays in the city are mentioned. In the third chapter, under the title of the social and cultural life of the city, social life in Niğde such as community centers, health activities, social aid organizations, sports, concerts, and cinema is explained. The newspaper, which provided information to the public on many issues, also became an intermediary in informing the public of their problems to the administrators. In the fourth chapter, educational activities, courses, conferences, exhibitions, and performances are mentioned. In the fifth chapter, the economy and industry are explained. In the Official Niğde Newspaper, economic directions were made to the public in the sense of precaution again stthecrisis due to th ereflections of the world economic crisis in Niğde, which took place in 1929 and whose effects continued through out the 1930s. In the sixth and last chapter, the setlement and public Works activities in the city and daily events such as birth, death, engagement ceremonies, accidents, and disasters are explained. As a result of there search, the years 1932-1933 are the years when the economy was based on agriculture and animal husbandry, economic and social developments such as the opening of the railway and community center were experienced, the life in the city was revitalized, and the health sector was ahead of the era. Education and training were carried out with in the possibilities, it was seen that it was a safe city with very little disorder.
