Abstract
Çalışmada Salvia sclarea L., Acanthus hirsutus Boiss., Echium vulgare L., Crambe orientalis ssp. orientalis L., Convolvulus calvertii Boiss. ekstraktlarının Sitophilus oryzae L. üzerindeki toksik ve davranışsal etkisi araştırılmıştır. Tek doz tarama testlerinde bitki ekstraktları % 30 (w/v) konsantrasyonda uygulanmış ve bu çalışmada en yüksek ölüm oranı % 51,7 ile E. vulgare ekstraktında görülmüştür. Çalışmanın ikinci kısmında doz- etki denemeleri E. vulgare ekstraktı ile yürütülmüş ve hesaplanan LD50 ve LD90 değerleri sırasıyla 13.46 µg//böcek ve 30.32 µg/böcek olarak bulunmuştur. LT50 çalışmaları E. vulgare ekstraktının % 10 (w/v) konsantrasyon ile yürütülmüş ve LT50 ile LT90 değerleri sırasıyla 92.16 ve 200.96 saat olarak hesaplanmıştır. Bitki ekstraktlarının davranışsal etki çalışmalarında E. vulgare ekstraktının yüksek oranda uzaklaştırma, beslenmeyi ve yumurta bırakmayı engelleyici etkileri saptanmıştır. Çalışma sonunda elde edilen sonuçlar, E. vulgare bitki ekstratının depolanmış tahıllarda S. oryzae ile mücadelede kullanılma potansiyeli olduğunu ortaya koymuştur.

In single dose screening experiment, the plant extracts were tested at 30% (w/v) concentration and the maximum adult mortality (51.7% ) was recorded with E. vulgare plant extract in this test. This was followed by Crambe orientalis ssp. orientalis L. plant extract with 24.1% adult mortality. In dose response bioassay was carried out with E. vulgare extract and calculated LD50 and LD90 values were 13.46 µg/insect and 30.32 µg/insect respectively. LT50 studies were carried out with E. vulgare extract at 10% (w/v) concentration and LT50 and LT90 values were 92.16 and 200.96 hours respectively. The behavioral effects studies showed that E. vulgare extract produced high level of repellent, antifeedant and antioviposition effects against the insect pest. These results revealed that E. vulgare extract has promising potential in managing the S. oryzae in stored wheat grains.
