| dc.description.abstract | Bu tez kapsamında Kuzeydoğu Türkiye'nin (Doğu Pontidler) Ordu ili ve yakın çevresinde yer alan karbonatlı ve kırıntılı kayaçlar araştırılmıştır. Paleontolojik verilere göre bu kayaçların yaşı Geç Kretase-Paleosen'dir. Yapılan ön çalışmalar sonucu, bölgede geçiş seviyelerini veren dikme kesitler tespit edilmiş olup, bunların 100 km2'lik bir alanı kapladıkları ve bu şekilde Üst Kretase-Paleosen sınır profillerinin çıkarılmasında allanılacak mükemmel alanlar oluşturdukları anlaşılmıştır. Üst Kretase-Paleosen zaman aralığı, aynı zamanda Dünyamızda `Büyük Fauna Krizi' (The Great Faunal Crisis, Mass Exctinction) olarak da bilinen, küresel iklim değişikliklerinin de gözlendiği zamana karşılık gelmektedir. Bu durum fosil türlerinde de belirgin bir azalmaya neden olmuştur. Bölgede toplamda altı lokasyonda; Ordu merkez, Uzunisa, Şıhlar, Kayadibi, Gölköy ve Ulubey de çalışılmış olup, bu bölgelerin stratigarfik dikme kesitleri hazırlamış, hazırlanan bu kesitler korele edilip arazinin tabanı meydana getirilmiştir. Kantitatif ve yarı kantitatif metodlarla kayaçların karbonat petrografisi belirlenmiştir. Tüm bu bulgular ışığında ortamın üç boyutlu modeli oluşturulmuştur. Bu kesitler oratamsal karakterleri belirlenebilmiş ve bunlar yamaç yüzeyinde bulunan, yüksek enerjiye maruz kalmış ortamlar olduğu tespit edilmiştir.Anahtar sözcükler: Karbonatlı kayaç petrografisi, mikro fasiyes analizi, paleontoloji, Ordu , Üst Kretase-Paleosen geçişi. | |
| dc.description.abstract | In this thesis, carbonate and siliciclastic sedimentary rocks occurring around Ordu and its nearby area within the Eastern Pontids (NE Turkey) will be investigated. Based on paleontological evidences, these ediments are Upper Cretaceous-Paleocene in age. Columnar sections representing transition in the region covering about 100 km2 were determined during the orientation survey. Consequently, ideal locations for profiles indicating the transition from Late Cretaceous to Paleocene have been already determined.Upper Cretaceous-Paleocene interval is also significant during which `the Great Faunal Crises? (Mass xtinction) occurred in the world as a result of global climate changes. This situation led to a significant reduction in fossil species. In total six locations, Ordu, Uzunisa, Şıhlar, Kayadibi, Gölkoy and Ulubey also tudied whether this region of the stratigraphic vertical sections are prepared, these sections correlate ith whether the land base occurred were introduced. Petrography of the carbonate rocks of quantitative and semi-quantitative methods are identified. All of these findings in light of the threedimensional model was constructed environment. Two of these sections and their slopes environmental surface in determining the character, high-energy environments that were exposed.Keywords: Petrography of carbonate rocks, microfacies analysis, paleontology, Ordu, Upper Cretaceous-Paleocene transition. | |
