İlköğretim okullarında etik iklimin çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesi

Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı ilköğretim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenler ile bu okullarda öğrenim gören öğrencilerin algılarına göre ilköğretim okullarının etik iklimlerini belirlemek ve çeşitli değişkenler açısından farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını tespit etmektir.Araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Veriler, Keiser ve Schulte tarafından geliştiren etik iklim envanteri (ESECI) ile elde edilmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini Nevşehir ili merkezindeki 21 ilköğretim okulunda görev yapan 355 öğretmen ve bu okullarda öğrenim gören 818 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Veriler yüzde, frekans, ortalama, tek yönlü varyans analizi, Tukey testi ve t testi tekniği kullanılarak yorumlanmıştır.İlköğretim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenler ile bu okullarda öğrenim gören öğrencilerin algılarına göre okul etik ikliminde öğretmen-öğrenci boyutu yüksek, öğrenci-öğrenci boyutu ise düşüktür.İlköğretim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin, okulun etik iklim algılarına ilişkin görüşleri arasında eğitim durumu ve cinsiyet değişkenine göre anlamlı farkın olmadığı, mesleki kıdem değişkenine göre öğrenci-öğretmen ve öğrenci-öğrenci boyutlarında ise anlamlı farkın olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır.İlköğretim okullarında öğrenim gören öğrencilerin cinsiyet değişkenine göre, öğretmen-öğrenci ve öğrenci-öğrenci boyutlarında anlamlı bir faklılığın olmadığı, öğrenci-öğretmen boyutunda ise anlamlı farkın olduğu bulunmuştur.İlköğretim okullarında görev yapan öğretmenler ile bu okullarda öğrenim gören öğrencilerin okullardaki etik iklim algıları arasında öğretmen-öğrenci, öğrenci-öğretmen, öğrenci-öğrenci boyutlarında anlamlı fark bulunmuştur.Anahtar Kelimeler: Etik, etik iklim, öğretmen, öğrenci
This study aims both to find the ethical climate at primary schools according to perceptions of primary school teachers and students and to state whether they differentiate in terms of different variations.In the thesis, descriptive model is conducted. The data are acquired via Ethical Climate Index (ESECI) developed by Keiser and Schulte. The research covers 355 primary school teachers and 818 primary school students in Nevşehir. The acquired data are evaluated via percentage, frequency, mean, one-way ANOVA, Tukey test and T-Test techniques.According to the perceptions of primary school teachers and students, teacher-student dimension is high and student-student dimension is low at the ethical climates at primary schools.It is found that there is no significant difference in terms of gender and educational levels; whereas there is a significant difference in terms of tenure factor at teacher-student and student-student dimensions according to the views held by the primary school teachers on perceptions of the ethical climates.It is found that in terms of gender variation of the primary school students, there is meaningful difference at teacher-student and student-student sub-dimensions while there is an important difference at student-teacher sub-dimensions.The study reveals a significantly difference at teacher-student, student-teacher and student-student dimensions among the perceptions of ethical climates had by elementary school teachers and students.Key Words: Ethic, ethical climate, teacher, student
