Özet
Başka bir ülkede üniversite hayatına başlayan ve böylece farklı bir hayata uyum sağlamak durumunda kalan uluslararası öğrencilerin öz-yeterlilik inancına ve sosyal desteğe duyacakları ihtiyaç daha önemli bir hal almaktadır. Bu ihtiyacını karşılayabilen bireylerde, özellikle kişisel başarı duygusu ön plana çıkmakta ve öğrenciler üniversite ortamında kalmalarını sağlayacak şekilde kendilerini motive olmuş hissetmektedirler. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye'nin farklı bölgelerinde öğrenim hayatlarını sürdüren uluslararası öğrencilerin öz-yeterlilik inançlarının öğrencilik rollerine tutulma (student engagement) düzeylerine etkisinin ve bu etkide sosyal desteğin düzenleyicilik rolünün araştırılması amaçlanmıştır.
The need for self-efficacy and social support by international students who have started university in another country and thus have to adapt to a different life is becoming more important. Individuals who are able to meet those needs come to the forefront of personal accomplishment and feel motivated to stay in the university environment. In this study, it was aimed to research the effect of self-efficacy beliefs of international students who continued their education in different regions of Turkey on their student role engagement levels and the moderating role of social support in that effect.
