dc.description.abstractDil öğretim ortamlarında sözcük öğretimi kapsamında öğrencilerin söz varlığının geliştirilmesi, gerek programların gerekse de dil öğretiminin temel amaçlarındandır. Bu temel amaç doğrultusunda, söz varlığını geliştirmeye yönelik farklı yönelimler ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu yönelimlerden biri de sözcük sıklıklarının belirlenmesidir. Sözcük sıklıklarının sınıf düzeylerine göre belirlenmesinde, öğrencilerin sıklıkla kullandıkları ders kitaplarında geçen sözcüklerin sıklıklarının belirlenmesi son derece önemlidir. Ders kitaplarındaki metinlerde hangi sözcüklerin sıklıkla kullanıldığının belirlenmesiyle, öğrencilerin hangi sözcüklerle buluşturulduğu ortaya çıkacak, sınıf düzeylerine göre bir değişim söz konusu bu değişimin gelişme / gerileme yönü belirlenecektir. Bu çalışmada Türkçe (5, 6, 7 ve 8. Sınıf) Türkçe ders kitaplarından rastgele seçilen metinlerin (her sınıf düzeyinden 10 metin, toplam 40 metin) sözcük sıklıkları ve sözcük sayıları belirlenmiş; bu bağlamda sınıf düzeyine göre oluşan değişimler (sıklık ve sözcük ortalaması) betimlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, "bir", "ve", "ol", "bu" sözcüklerinin ders kitaplarındaki diğer sözcüklere göre sıklıkları daha fazladır
dc.description.abstractImproving students’ vocabulary is one of the main goals of programs and language teaching within the scope of vocabulary teaching in language teaching environments. In accordance with this main goal, different orientations have emerged for enhancing the vocabulary. One of those orientations is the determination of word frequencies. When determining the word frequencies by grade levels, it is extremely important to identify the frequencies of words mentioned in textbooks which are often used by students. By determining which words are frequently used in the texts of textbooks, with which words students are brought together will be revealed, and in case there is a change by grade levels, the direction of improvement/deterioration of this change can be determined. Word frequencies and word numbers of the text selected randomly in the (in each 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade) Turkish lesson textbooks (total 40 texts) were determined, and changes which occurred by grade levels (frequency and word average) were described. As a result, the words, “ a(n)/ the “, “and”, “this” and “ to be”, are more frequent than the others
