Özet
The fact that changing living conditions bring skills such as effective communication, problem solving, critical thinking and interdisciplinary teamwork to an important point today has led the learning process to change towards educational processes that encourage individuals to ask questions, research, produce and inventions and reveal their talents and interests in these issues. One of the innovative training approaches in this direction is STEM. Emphasis on interdisciplinary cooperation in STEM education requires the opportunity for students to work in collaboration. In this study, pre-service teachers who have received STEM education have developed projects in interdisciplinary cooperation. In the study, formative evaluations of the STEM projects were carried out via Flipgrid platform. Flipgrid is a video discussion and feedback platform. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of the Flipgrid platform based on the STEM project phases. For this purpose, case study* method, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study participants of the research are 202 pre-service teachers who are studying Co puter and Instructional Technologies, Science, Elementary Mathematics and Turkish Language Teaching and 4 faculty members working in these fields. Data collection tools consist of diaries of faculty members in each discipline, semi-structured interviews with faculty members, and written opinion forms filled in by prospective teachers. The analysis of the data was carried out in the form of processing of data, coding of data, editing of codes, identification and interpretation of findings. Given the importance of collaborative work in STEM projects and guidance from experts in all disciplines, the views of pre-service teachers and faculty members suggest that the Flipgrid platform can offer effective opportunities for formative evaluation of projects. With the results of this study, which examines the effectiveness of Flipgrid platform based on STEM project phases; is thought to create predictions to other studies, with positive/negative aspects of the platform focusing on project steps, in terms of acces convenience, participation, feedback, follow-up, collaborative work, compatibi accessibility and usability. © Peter Lang GmbH.
