This study was conducted to examine the factors affecting the pre-competition stress levels of licensed athletes in firearms and air weapons branch. The study was carried out with a total of 261 participants, 111 females and 150 males, who voluntarily participated in the 13-14 January Air and Firearms Turkey Championship. A questionnaire called Sport Competitions Anxiety Test was used to collect the data and the collected data were analysed in terms of variables with JASP (Java Analysis Software Package) programme. One-way ANOVA and Post Hoc Turkey tests were used to determine the effect of gender, marital status, degree present/degre, participation/non-participation, participation present/degree present/absent variables on pre-competition stress score, in addition, One-way ANOVA and Post Hoc Turkey tests were used to determine the effect of years of experience in sport and education level variables on pre-competition stress score. As a result of statistical tests, a significant relationship was found between the pre-competition stress levels and the variables of age, marital status, years of sport, having/not having a degree and education level (p<0.05). However, no correlation was found between the variables of gender, participation/non-participation in a competition before and participation/non-participation in a competition and pre-competition stress score (p>0,05).
