Özet
As distribution grids transition from the traditional model to the smart grid model, grid control becomes a significant part of deployment planning. The integration of Electric Vehicles (EVs) into the traditional distribution grid requires detailed planning and analysis studies to be performed. This study investigates the effects of balanced and unbalanced EV charging station (EVCS) loads in a distribution region in Turkiye for low and high growth rate demand scenarios in 2030. The charger model adopted for the study distribution region is a 7 kW single-phase device. The study uses the distribution region's current power consumption data to run simulations on Digsilent Powerfactory and to forecast power demand for 2030. The results for both traditional grid and expected smart grid scenarios are presented and discussed.
