Abstract
Mikrodalgalar, elektrik ve manyetik alandan oluşan elektromanyetik enerjinin bir formudur. Mikrodalga enerji, kömür endüstrisinde özellikle öğütme, kükürt giderimi ve susuzlaştırma gibi uygulamalarla önemli bir potansiyele sahip bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada; kömürün mikrodalga ile muamelesindeki son gelişmeler sunulmakta, ısınma özellikleri, öğütülebilirlik, kükürt uzaklaştırma ve susuzlaştırma gibi farklı uygulamalarına yer verilmektedir.
Microwaves are a form of electromagnetic energy associated with electric and magnetic fields. Microwave energy has a great potential in coal industry in comminution, desulphurisation and drying processes. This paper presents a review of the advances in the microwave treatment of coal and many different applications are considered, including the heating rate investigations, grindability, desulphurisation and dewatering studies.
