The purpose of this study: It was aimed to analyse the changes of metabolic syndrome risk factors that are seen among sedentary individuals, who don?t do sport in an active way. This was achieved by making them exercise by running and walking for 8 weeks, by measuring the blood pressure and some other measurements both at he beginning and at the end of 8 weeks. It was also aimed to compare the results of parameters such as; triacylglyceride ratio, cholesterol ratio, the level of blood sugar, the height of blood pressure and the width of lumbar region. For the research: 13 people, whose ages were between 25-43 and who don?t exercise regularly, were participated. Their heights, weights, lumbar region?s widths, aerobic and anaerobic capacities, blood pressures, blood values (biochemistry, hemogram), and the pulses after exercise were measured. The first two weeks, and 3 days per week, walks, which were at a normal tempo and which were about 3-4 km per hour, were had. In the 3rd and 4th weeks, the intensity was increased and the walks were about 5 km per hour. In the 5th and 6th weeks, both time and the distance of walks were increased and walks which were about 6 km were had in. 7th and 8th weeks, apart from the walks, there was group-running with a low intensity. As a result of 8-weeks studies, the first and the last measurements were compared. Within that study, Z-Test was used for the data analysis, and Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test was used to compare the values. Significant level was set p<0,05In that study, participants? average of age was found as 31.53 years average of height was found as 172.53 cm and average of weight was found as 93.73kg. As a result of the measurements, it was seen that there were statistically significant differences in participants? weight values, anaerobic capacity values, and body mass index measurements. However, there were no statistically significant differences in diastolic blood pressure values, systolic blood pressure values, waist widths, resting pulse values, blood glucose, cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, VLDL cholesterol, triglycerides, and aerobic capacity values. As a result: Regular sport and exercise is a precondition for healthy living. According to the data obtained in the study, if individuals with metabolic syndrome make regular exercise, they can eliminate the factors of metabolic syndrome.Key words: Metabolic syndrome, sedentary, exercise
