Özet

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect teaching practices onpre-service teachers’ attitude towards teaching profession and sense ofefficacy beliefs. The explanatory sequential design, which is one of themixed methods research designs, was used in this study. The study group ofthis research consisted of pre-service teachers who were studying at NiğdeÖmer Halisdemir University, Faculty of Education, Pedagogical FormationTraining Certificate Programme (n = 14). While parametric test statisticswere used in the analysis of the quantitative data, content analysistechnique was employed in the analysis of the qualitative data. According tothe results of the study, it was concluded that teaching practices have astatistically significant effect on the attitude of pre-service teachers towardsthe profession and that these practices were not effective in developingtheir sense of efficacy beliefs.
