dc.description.abstractThe concept of feminism dates back to the 18th century. Feminism argues that women should be equal with men in all spheres. Feminist economics struggled for the existence of a women's perspective in economics. It is obvious that in the past, women are not equal with men, especially in working life. Especially the situation of women employment in our country shows a negative situation compared to European Union countries. In the first part of the study, the origin, development and views of feminism have been given. The concepts of feminism and employment in economics are emphasized and the factors affecting women's employment are investigated. The second and third sections of the European Union countries and the education level of male and female employment rate in Turkey study, it was demonstrated by the data according to marital status and age. In addition to this are provided by the European Union and developed policies and projects related to increasing the female employment rate in Turkey. The aim of this study is to examine the position of women in Turkey and the European Union. In addition, the employment rate for women in both Turkey and the European Union were studied in this thesis. European Union harmonization process by examining women's employment policies, Turkey has analyzed the current situation. Thus, in operation, the European Union harmonization process of women's employment rates of women's employment policies in Turkey and aimed to reveal compared with the European Union. dc.description.abstractFeminizm kavramının kökeni 18. Yüzyıla kadar dayanmaktadır. Feminizm kadınların erkeklerle bütün alanlarda eşit olması gerektiğini savunmaktadır. Feminist iktisat, iktisat biliminde kadın bakış açısının var olması için mücadeleler etmiştir. Geçmişten günümüze kadınların erkeklerle özellikle çalışma hayatında eşit olmadığı aşikardır. Özellikle ülkemizde kadın istihdamının durumu Avrupa Birliği ülkelerine göre olumsuz bir durum sergilemektedir. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde feminizm düşüncesinin kökeni, gelişimi, feminizme dair görüşlere yer verilmiştir. İktisatta feminizm ve istihdam kavramları üzerinde durulmuş, kadın istihdamını etkileyen faktörler araştırılmıştır. Çalışmanın ikinci ve üçüncü bölümünde Avrupa Birliği ülkelerinde ve Türkiye?de kadın ve erkek istihdamı oranları eğitim seviyesi, medeni durum ve yaş durumuna göre verilerle ortaya konulmuştur. Bunun yanı sıra Avrupa Birliği?nde ve Türkiye?de kadın istihdam oranlarının artırılması ile ilgili politikalar ve geliştirilen projelere yer verilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye?de ve Avrupa Birliği?nde kadının konumunu incelemektedir. Ayrıca bu tezde hem Avrupa Birliği ülkelerinde hem de Türkiye?de kadınların istihdam oranları incelenmiştir. Avrupa Birliği?ne uyum sürecinde Türkiye?nin kadın istihdamı politikaları incelenerek mevcut durum analiz edilmiştir. Dolayısıyla çalışmada, Avrupa Birliği?ne uyum sürecinde Türkiye?deki kadının istihdam oranları ve kadın istihdamı politikalarının Avrupa Birliği ile karşılaştırılarak ortaya konması hedeflenmiştir.
